Congratulations to all those practices, teams and dentists who were shortlisted for the 2009 Dentistry Awards, as announced last month.
Now all eyes are on the ceremony itself, to be held on Friday 4 December at the Athena in Leicester, a fabulous art-deco venue which will be decked out in a 70s entertainment theme.
And we are now pleased to announce that the compere for this year's Dentistry Awards will be comedian Paul Thorne, who is sure to provide a marvellous night of entertainment amongst all the celebrations.

Paul (above) is described by The Guardian as a ‘must-see' comedian. He has established himself as one of Britain's most assured stand-ups, performing at all of the UK's major comedy venues and festivals, and can be seen weekly at London's Comedy Store, where he is a resident member of the Cutting Edge team of comedians who perform topical material based on the week's news.
He has also supported the likes of Jack Dee, Lee Hurst and Rory Bremner on their respective nationwide tours. Paul's other television credits include regular appearances on Live at Jongleurs and The Stand-Up Show.
